The sands of time have barely swept over Patmos since St John had his Revelations here 2,000 years ago – which makes a daytrip to the isle such a fascinating experience. We'll take the ferry to this history-steeped island to the south of Samos and visit the Monastery of St John, the Cave of the Apocalypse and the villages of Chora and Skala.Stepping off the boat, you'll be struck by the turreted walls of the Monastery of St John. They tower over the whole island and give the impression of a fortified castle more than that of an abbey. It was established in the 11th century, and Patmos became known as the ‘Jerusalem of the Aegean'. Your guide will explain its fascinating history before we head through the whitewashed streets of Chora to visit the Cave of the Apocalypse.And there's more to this trip than history and heritage – you'll have plenty of free time to relax and wander around the charming surrounds of Skala harbour before sailing back to Samos.

Wspaniala wyspa. Atrakcje na wysokim poziomie. Minus za przewodnika tylko po angielsku. Zbyt dlugo mówila przez co nie bylo czasu na spokojne zakupy .

Ogólnie wycieczka podobala nam sie, poniewaz byla dobra organizacja . Jedyna wada bylo to ze przewodnik nie byl z odpowiednim tlumaczeniem dla grupy turystów.

Patmos ist kulturell sehr interessant, gerne hätte ich mir einen etwas längeren Aufenthalt gewünscht. Durch die Abfahrten der Fährverbindungen ist das nicht möglich gewesen. Die Fährfahrt bei Starken Winden empfehle ich nur Nüchtern. Und für Gäste mit längeren Transferzeiten empfehle ich ein Lunchpaket mit zunehmen.

Beautiful scenery, cave and monetary very interesting but picked up at 5.50am and didn't get to the boat until 8am. Two and a half hours on a catamaran ferry, where many people, including myself were seasick. Approximately 1 hour to see cave and monetary then 2 hours free time in a tiny port area with expensive shops and couple of cafes before the return ferry and coach back. Arrived back at 8pm. Choppy sea unavoidable but not enough info before booking about length of ferry ride etc

Während des Bustransfers gab es kaum Informationen über den Ausflug. Hier hätten Auskünfte über den Ausstieg und die Abfahrt des Schiffes gegeben werden können. Entgegen der Ausschreibung gab es vor Ort keine Headsets. Bei der Besucherzahl und der Geräuschkulisse wären diese sehr hilfreich gewesen. Erst nach Buchung mitgeteilt wurde, dass die Eintrittsgebühren nicht im Preis enthalten sind. Die Reiseleiterin auf Patmos war gut. Der TUI Ausflug war 15 Euro teurer als andere Anbieter.

Transport z hotelu do portu i z powrotem. Mial to byc autokar. Na dzien przed wycieczka rezydent poinformowal, ze bedzie to taksówka, która bedzie jechala na wycieczke oprócz mnie i meza jeszcze 1 osoba. W taksówce byly jeszcze 2 osoby. W konsekwencji, do portu i z powrotem jechalismy w 3 osoby na tylnym siedzeniu bardzo scisnieci, bez zapiecia pasów, przez ponad 45 min, bardzo kreta droga. Bylo to niebezpieczne i niekomfortowe - duza tusza 3 osób. Zaplacilam za przejazd autokarem i bezpiecznie.

Udflugten blev bestilt på informationsmødet, hvor vi fik at vide, at det var en tur til en anden ø med skib, og vi ville blive kørt rundt på øen og få set en masse natur og høre øens historie, servering af græsk mad m.m. , men blev ikke oplyst om at vi skulle sejle med færge 5 timer og kun køre med bus på øen ca. 30 min. for alene at besøge et kloster og høre fortælling om klosterets kalkmalerier. Det var en meget skuffende tur, græsk mad indgik heller ikke som oplyst ved bestillingen.

To lokale guider var flinke, alt gikk fint. Eneste minus var at gruppen var på 50 personer og det var lite tid å se åpenbaringskirken. Interessant tur.

Wat een klein beetje tegenviel was de ferry. Vorig jaar hadden we een driemaster om naar een ander eiland te varen en dat was echt genieten. Was op Kos. Nu zat je zo een beetje opgesloten en kon je van de omgeving minder genieten. Maar het eiland was prachtig en de gids was heel gedreven. Kortom een prachtdag.

Saarelle mentiin katamaraanilla, joka kulki melko hurjaa vauhtia. Katamaraani pysähtyi nopeasti kahdella saarella ennen Patmosta. Kaikki tarpeellinen kerrottiin retkestä. Itse Patmos oli mielenkiintoinen ja paikalliselle oppaalle kiitokset, hän kertoi oleelliset asiat paikoista joissa vierailimme (luostari ja Ilmestyskirjaluola).

Ta wycieczka jest bardzo dluga, glównie przejazdowo. Niestety transfer z hotelu do portu byl zly (bez klimatyzacji). W porcie brak jasnych i klarownych informacji gdzie isc (po prostu szlismy za tlumem). Samo zwiedzanie i przewodnik byly ok, ale nie podobalo mi sie, ze ta grupa, to byla kompletna zbieranina róznych ludzi, nie wszyscy byli z TUI. No i tez dosyc droga ta wycieczka w stosunku do tego co oferuje.

Een grote snelle boot, toch 2,5 uur varen. Wel genoeg tijdvpor alles. Eerst bezichtiging, daarna vrije tijd voor een lunch en een paar winkels. .

Pozytywy to swietny przewodnik Giovanni, pomocny opiekun ze strony TUI, wygodny i szybki prom i przede wszystkim atrakcje odwiedzanej wyspy. Troche malo czasu na zwiedzanie, co wynika z koniecznosci dotarcia o czasie na prom. Duzo czasu w podrózy.
