Visited before and love Makarska town and harbour. The bus arrived late to collect us from the hotel and the driver told us to be there 10 mins before departure from Makarska (he left 10 mins early). We lost about 30 mins of our trip. There is no tour guide but this is not necessary. Tickets are very expensive for such a short journey.

Definitely worth doing this trip makarsa is a must to visit. Beautifully town. Drive on the way could have driven a bit slower . One gentleman was nearly sick. Value for money 26 euros each . After booking we did find there is a bus that goes at the top of the road for 3 euros each way .The reception staff said the bus is very reliable where the tui rep told us it wasnt . People round the hotel found bus ok . May be the shuttle should have been cheaper

Prompt, punctual, comfortable…There was 8 of us that shared a large MPV type taxi. Each couple paid 52 euros for a 20 minute each way trip, worked out at about £45 per couple, £180 for the taxi ride…seemed expensive

I was not impressed with this shuttlebus as the driver was 10 minutes late picking us up from the hotel and over 15 minutes late collecting us from Makarska. It was a very hot day and waiting in the heat for him to arrive was not comfortable at all. On the plus side, at least the bus had aircon.

A relaxing mornings visit. Plenty of restaurants / bars / ice cream shops. Good for people watching if that's your thing. The market is interesting to have stroll around and buy some fruit and veggies if needed. But for us, this was a bit pricy for a visit to a coffee shop and a sit down.

A useful service given the location of the hotel, time allowed was ample in the trip location. Could have been a bit cheaper than 26euro return each given the local bus costs between 3-7 euro each one way (if you can work out the timetable).

Arranging the shuttle bus was very easy, our Tui rep, Matt, was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle cost €26 return which we did not mind paying as it was very convenient. There is a local bus as well, but it is not reliable and no Uber services. It was good to have a half day away from the hotel, the shuttle left the hotel at 09:20 and left Makarska at 13:30. Not many attractions in Makarska, we enjoyed a beer at the harbour, some local shops and supermarket. Will recommend

Hej Problemet var inte tui utan att det uppstod problem med bussen som fick stanna många gånger efter vägen fr Italien.. vi skulle ha landat i split kl 12:15 och ankom till hotellet i Igrane först på morgonen 05 00.. vilket gjorde att man missade en dag av semestern i en kall buss som hade problem med värmen och dörren var det tydligen också fel på.. den tjöt sista milen( varningssignal öppen dörr) Hade varit tacksam om SAS kan kompensera för en natt utan sömn och andra otrevligheter efter vägen

Good reliable shuttle bus. Initially thought the price was expensive but it’s a 30 minute journey each way so not too bad. Driver arrived just before pick up time and was friendly. You get dropped off at a bus stop just a 5 minute walk to the harbour.

Our driver was right on time collecting us, it was a pleasant journey, he dropped us a short walk into the town, which was a pleasant down hill walk. Makarska is well worth a visit. The return journey was equally as good, we did leave a little earlier than planned as everyone was back at the meeting place and ready to go

Would’ve been nice to of been advised on what to do there as we walked around and grabbed some food and drinks which took us 2 hours and then we had to just wait for 2 hours with nothing to do but wait for the bus back to the hotel. Was really hoping for more of the mini day out.

Minibus to makarska had no air-conditioning... swapped for the return that still had no effective air-conditioning. Given temperatures this made it VERY uncomfortable. Not what u expect when paying €26 per person, especially when on previous trips this kind of service is complimentary.

Twenty six Euros each for a 20 minute bus ride is extortionate and unnecessary. We weren't even dropped off at a central point. We were picked up by a different bus for the return and that was late. Really not impressed!

The shuttle bus was on time and dropped us off at the top of towns so we could walk down the hill into Makarska. We had plenty of time to enjoy the town, have an ice cream and a lovely circular walk around the peninsula. It was quite expensive really at €26 each for the return trip as it literally was just a bus pick up and drop off.

It was expensive and we didn't have long enough in Makarska, the driver didn't check that everyone was on board for the return and left 5 minutes early. I enjoyed looking around the town but didn't have enough time to see all that I wanted to. It would have been better to have an option of a later return for those who really want to explore the area.

The service was on time, and left on the dot. So don't be late. Calm drive there, not so much back. Another driver turned up for the returning journey, more chaotic driving, overtaking and passengers felt unsafe. For the price of the trip, very expensive too. Makarska was worth visiting, shame it's expensive, different timings to visit or shorter shuttle runs to the town.

Es war keine gute Organisation, denn keiner der gewünschten Ausflüge konnte stattfinden. Die Poolanlage war zu klein und es gab keine Alternative (Garten o.ae.). Da ich nicht vorhatte, meine Zeit (in der Hitze) ausschließlich am Pool zu verbringen, sondern etwas von Land und Leuten zu sehen, bin ich sehr unzufrieden. Das Preis -Leistungsver- hältnis stimmt so nicht. Ich kann diese Reise nicht weiterempfehlen!!

The driver said nothing when picking up in a not logged bus. We had to ask if it was the shuttle bus to Makarska, and he nodded quickly. I World have liked if he more clearly could announce that this is the shuttle bus, upon arrival. So you don’t hesitate if you get on the right one or not.

Als je in de buurt bent is dit wel erg leuk om te doen, je wordt afgezet bij de rotonde en kan je weg vervolgen langs het sportcomplex naar de haven, daar is veel te zien en te doen. Wij zijn lekker gaan rondwandelen, links van de haven ligt een leuk parkje waar je heerlijk rustig kunt wandelen, en je komt uit bij het water met leuk uitzicht op de baai / strand en skyline van Makarska. Ook de staatjes achter de boulevard zijn erg leuk, pleintjes en kerkje. Overal terrasjes en cocktailbarretjes

Viel zu teuer, Makarska hat null Sehenswürdigkeiten und kaum Läden um shoppen zu gehen. Der Fahrer nach Hause konnte kein Wort Deutsch oder Englisch, hat uns angeschieen wo wir bleiben würden und hat während der Fahrt am Handy gelesen. Total verantwortungslos, dann hat er auch noch die Abfahrt zu Igrane verpasst und musste umdrehen nachdem wir ihm gesagt haben wohin er uns bringen soll.

Driver did not check tickets He then received a phone call on the way -not hands free- and started having an argument with someone. Dropped off at a shopping mall at the top I thought we were going to the bottom of the hill had to climb up in 32 degrees for journey back. Best bit took cash in hand for an extra passenger - this is not great security dropped extra and other passengers off stalled engine. Could not get it working for ten mins. Sauna in coach eventually got going. Terrible shuttle

Wir haben dieses Transfer nur gebucht weil unser ursprünglicher Ausflug am Tag davor gestrichen worden ist (Ausflug nach Dubrovnik, das wir schon seit einen Monat gebucht hatten). Da wir nur eine Woche vor Ort waren und uns gerne entspannen wollten, haben wir nur diesen einzigen Ausflug gebucht. Daher war unsere Enttäuschung groß als 2 Tage vor unsere Heimreise, wegen fehlende Passagiere storniert wurde. Um trotzdem etwas von Kroatien zu sehen, haben wir dieses Transfer gebucht. Viel zu teuer !!

The mini bus was overbooked so 2 guests were left behind. As the driver spoke no English there was no communication or any alternative suggested. He just got into the driver's seat and drove off, leaving them at the pick up point surprised, and I imagine very angry. Poor show Tui. Exactly the same happened on another trip we took ( a boat trip to Hvar and Brac).

Overall a very disappointing service. We booked with TUI as we felt we would receive a good service. Very disappointing. Very overpriced.

Perhaps a shuttle bus to the main road free so you can catch the local buses. Tuii has thexmanopoly and this is the only way to leave Igrane. Either by Tuii trip or Tuii Shuttle bus. You should say in line you have to pay €28 each to go on it.

We were told that there was only one service bus a day to Makarska and that, sometimes, the bus did not turn up at all. Not wanting to risk getting stuck in Makarska with no return service we felt our only option was to book the shuttle bus. To be honest it was a very expensive trip for what was, in effect, a lift down the road. Very disappointed!

The cost per adult is very high compared to local services who provide a longer period of time in the town. So it was not possible to do all and see all, I would recommend lowering the £26 per person. Either extend the period of time or lower the cost. Pick up at 9.20am and collect others from there hotels. Arriving at the town appx 10am then pick up again at 1.30. Three and a half hours to walk from drop off point into the town doesn’t give you hardly anytime to look around.

The centre seemed lovely, but disappointed that the coach did not drop off where it was advised, so wasted time looking for the centre, due to mobility problems, which was not mentioned on the advice of visit. Also no proper advice given to get to destination, a map would have been really useful, also a map of the actual hotel would have been really useful too.

Price is a bit steep for just a ride to the town but very nice once you’re there. The driver didn’t indicate which way to go into the town which would have been nice. Lucky for us, a couple we met on the bus had been a few times before so told us where to go etc. other than that, we had a great day.

Beautiful place to visit. The minibus driver was very prompt, a couple got left behind as they were 5mins late so be warned. Quaint buildings and side streets. Lots and lots of main st cafes and restaurants with good priced foods and drinks. The semi submarine trip available in the port was a great experience and only €10 each. Only downside was the length of time there, just over 3hrs which was not enough to take it all in.

This was just a bus ride into the closest town no information guide or advice costing €52 for two of us felt expensive. Drop off on outskirts and pick up 3 hrs later. The town itself was worth visiting but if I’d known how to get other transport would have done this

We felt the trip was too expensive. We also felt that the bus could have dropped us down in the front. There was an elderly gentleman with mobility problems however they still dropped at the shopping centre which was a fair walk to the front. The shopping centre was a waist of time.

The shuttle service was fine although the driver a little miserable. We were supposed to be dropped off at the harbour but were dropped at a shopping centre about 10 minutes walk from where we thought we would be. Makarska itself is a nice little place, plenty of restaurants for something to eat and a lovely walk through the trees up to St Peter’s Church. A couple of hours is enough to see what is there and to visit the local shops.

We were picked up in the pouring rain at the ATM and dropped off at a shopping centre, the driver gave no instructions where to meet, we had no TUI guide to tell us of any places of interest to visit, very poor all round certainly not worth 50 euros .

Handige shuttle bus als je geen huurauto neemt. Je komt met de shuttlebus vlot in de stad Makarska. Je hebt er dan ruim voldoende tijd om rond te lopen voordat de bus je terug komt halen. Het is een mini bus, met ervaren bestuurders. Er wordt wel niets gezegd over makarska dus verwacht niet dat je een gids aan het stuur hebt, het is een gewone bestuurder dus je van punt A naar B brengt. Het was duidelijk waar en wanneer je terug verwacht werd.

Pick up near hotel, driver was extremely helpful to all traveling on this trip. Enjoyable journey with great views along the coastline to our destination. Bus stop was about a 10 minute walk from the harbour/town centre next to a shopping centre for those requiring some retail therapy. Beautiful harbour front with loads of restaurants and cafes. Some small boutique style shops running behind the harbour front. Great views and walks around St Peter Forest Park on the opposite side of the harbour.

Den Shuttle Bus fand ich sehr wichtig, weil es sonst kaum eine Möglichkeit gab, in Makarska etwas mehr Zeit alleine zu verbringen. Der Linienbus fuhr ja sehr wenig und dann nur vorher online buchbar. Allerdings fand ich den Preis etwas hoch, 22 Euro für Hin und Rückfahrt, für den TUI Shuttle. Das sagten auch die anderen Gäste des Hotels.

The hotel is beautiful the food was lovely but there could some improvements, the bottles of water could be in a fridge so you can help yourself and not have to queue. The drinks could be better quality as the local spirits aren’t very good. On the last day when leaving we was offered coffee from the machine and dry croissants with no filling, we should have been entitled to a breakfast before we set off on our journey. The coffee from the machine is bitter and burnt and taste nasty.

It's very expensive considering you don't actually get taken to the centre of Makarska. They leave you at a bus stop about 10/15 minute walk away. They will rave about how it's loads cheaper than a taxi but at least a taxi would take you directly to the location you wanna be!

Der Bus nach Makarska war pünktlich und der Fahrer hat uns am Rande der Stadt für ca. 3 Stunden zur Stadtbesichtigung aussteigen lassen. Nach einem Hafenbesuch und einer „Altstadtbesichtigung“ haben wir uns auf den Rückweg zur Haltestelle begeben. Ca. 15 Minuten vor Abbfahrtszeit kam ein Kleinbus, der eine kleine Anzahl von Gästen ins Hotel zurück fuhr. Knapp 10 Minuten später kam noch ein Kleinbus, der wieder eine kleine Anzahl an Gästen ins Hotel zurückgebracht hat. Der Rest, keine Ahnung.

Convenient and comfortable way of visiting the nearest larger town to our hotel. Coach pick ups to and from the town and the half day morning visit was enough to see the town and walk around the lovely harbour. Recommended trip although a little expensive.

Makarska is a lively place with markets, shops and cafes. The trip is essential unless you are content to spend your holiday sunbathing or walking along the small promenade in Igrane. Basically just a 20-30 minute bus ride which at £15 pp seems extortionate. Make sure that you are back on the bus before the stated departure from Makarska - there’s no check so if you are not there he will just go.

What a lovely stay at this gorgeous hotel we have had. From the beautiful sunsets to the incredibly friendly staff, it’s been enjoyable from start to finish. Our room was great, very clean and with daily house keeping. We paid for a sea view and highly recommend everyone to do the same if you can! It made waking up every morning that little bit more special. The food was great with a mixture of local and continental dishes. As a fussy eater myself, I could always rely on ample “safe” options such as bread, chips and pizza. While my partner enjoyed adventuring with new dishes. All of the staff in the hotel were incredibly friendly and we were always greeted with a smile and hello whenever we walked past. There are a selection of bars around the hotel with a good range of all inclusive drinks. As others have said, there can be queues at the bars, particularly the mojito bar in the evening, so definitely think more staff are needed to man these. Or the option of having multiple bars open at once. We spent alot of our time enjoying both the beach and the pool, but recommend getting down there fairly early as sun loungers do get taken up quickly. The sea water was very chilly, so I personally preferred using the pool for swimming. The beach and sea were also very stony so water shoes are a must! There are also fairly steep stairs to and from the beach and pool, so this is something to bare in mind if you have any issues with mobility! The resort is in a secluded location so this hotel is definitely for people looking for more of a relaxed beach holiday, which was perfect for us. There are some nice walks either side of the beach, as well as daily shuttles to Makarska. We spent around 3-4 hours exploring Markarska and found that just the right amount of time. Beautiful walks, restaurants and ice cream shops - definitely recommend and only a 25 minute bus ride. Overall, its being such an amazing holiday and we would definitely return in future!

Nice coach with aircon and nice and roomy. Seems expensive but compared to a taxi it’s the best value and the amount of time you get in Makarska is plenty.
