It’s not what is sold Sells pitch - lovely day lunch and sunset cruise What you get - 2 1/2 hours on a bus on to boat drinks NO FOOD get to ricks cafe 40 minutes back on boat and then sit n bus with wet clothes as you have to walk through water up to arm pits to get on and off boat for another 2 hours in total 10 hours with out food or opportunity to purchase food arrive back horse 9:20 wet through in swim west by the time we had showered all food ********** down My advise don’t bother get a

Was informed by the rui rep that it was a 20/25 min transfer, which was actually 1hr 45 mins! jam West to have no direction. we then had to ask where to get our bands for the boat, when I asked what time the boat was leaving was told an hr or 2!!Once on the boat all was good apart from the fact that you advertised a jerk lunch would be provided yet all there was is a few bags of crisps. I informed the rep my mother has poor mobility yet he failed to tell us there are steps and only he at Rick's

Expensive for what it was. Picked up at 11am, arrived Jamwest 1pm. We weren’t given any instructions when we arrived but managed to “check in”. We then heard that the boat only had snacks so we should order lunch. We ordered nachos and wings at 1.20pm and it came out at 2pm (boarding time) so we got to-go boxes. The boat staff were great fun but the music etc was more geared towards the US guests. We also only had 1 hour at Ricks Cafe so again, not much time for food or drink. Sunset was lovely.

We had such a good time ,we liked when we was snorkeling the staff were very attentive and made you feel safe ,we then set sail for Rick's cafe , it was such a lively place and the views,are amazing, the staff were brilliant, they kept us entertained and plenty of food and drinks aboard.

The journey was long (which we knew) however our bus driver was driving like an absolute maniac, his overtaking, tailgating and speed was scarey and so dangerous, we were all on edge and worried there was going to be a serious accident. On arrival at the beach we only had a short while to enjoy the beach (we were told we would have longer) the boat was crammed with far too fancy people and disorganised, snorkeling was chaotic and we only had a very short time at Rick's cafe. Very disappointing

They did there best in bad circumstances, it was heavy rain , from start to finish. It was a bit choppy when arrived at Rick's so had to be transported in a smaller boat, or stay on board. It was a bit nervey . They told us it was not going to stop raining. I think it would have been better cancelled with options of a different day. But the lads on board did a great job in bad circumstances ??

We were picked up at 12.40, taking 5 mins away, then made to wait 90 mins in expensive bar till we boarded the boat. Crew had little respect for safety or disabled people. Life jackets and snorkels broken, we were told could stand in the sea but we couldn't. Basically it was a ********** up party boat rather than the romantic cruise you sell it as.

It was a memorable day out for all the right reasons. Staff very friendly but professional felt safe and looked after during snorkelling, and transfers from land to boat and vice versa. Great atmosphere. Possibly could have more choice of snacks, only popcorn and cheese puffs ( hardly worth mentioning though) Would do again xx

This was one of the best catamaran trips I’ve ever been on. It was a half-day trip departing at 14:30 and from the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcome. The crew were friendly, polite and genuinely happy to be there. They were very attentive, always checking on guests and offering drinks from the bar. I would highly recommend the Jamwest catamaran experience. The service, atmosphere, and overall experience were outstanding—truly a 5-star trip!

The trip overall was excellent. We were unlucky to have bad weather (rain and wind) which made the water a bit too choppy for the usual snorkelling spots. The guides still found a suitable spot and made the boat ride fun. Rick's Cafe was fantastic, I would have liked a bit more time there as we didn't have chance to eat and there were only crisps on the boat. Other than that a fantastic trip!

Wir waren heute auf dem Catamaran-Ausflug und sehr enttäuscht. Die Anfahrt dauerte pro Richtung ca. 1:45 Std. über schlechte Straßen, wir kamen völlig erschöpft an. Vor Ort warteten wir über eine Stunde. Es gab keine Verpflegung, nur winzige Chips als Snacks, die sehr schnell vergriffen waren. 20 Min. Schnorcheln, danach nur Küstenfahrt – nichts Besonderes. Für Zeit, Strecke und Preis absolut nicht lohnenswert. Aus Montego Bay nicht zu empfehlen.

This is sold as a trip to Ricks Cafe, when in fact you spend more time at 7 mile beach, waiting. We wanted to experience Ricks Cafe and was recommended this trip by the Tui guide, so was very disappointed to spend only 1 hour at Ricks out of the 9 hour excursion

Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiterinnen an der Bar könnte besser sein, teilweise unfreundlich und desinteressiert. Keine Tenderboote, man musste durch das hüfthohe Wasser laufen und war klatschnass. An sich kein Problem, aber das hätte man uns vorher sagen müssen. Die Wartezeit bis zum Boarding war zu lang, man kommt schließlich gerade aus dem Hotel und hat genug gegessen und getrunken. Ich verstehe, dass die einheimischen im Strandclub auch was verdienen möchten, aber für mich verlorene Zeit.

The best boat trip ever! We had just under two hours at Jamwest to chill on the beach or in the bar. The first stop off on the boat was to go snorkelling which was fab. Then sailed to Ricks Cafe to the tunes of DJ Chatty. At Ricks you could transfer to a smaller boat to take you over to Ricks Cafe , we chose to stay on board, although the bar was “closed” we had a fab time watching the cliff jumpers . On the way back as we sailed into the sunset, dolphins swam alongside us! Best boat trip ever

My family and I really enjoyed the experience of being on the catamaran, and having the opportunity to snorkel. We also had a lovely time at Rick's Café and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beach, prior to getting on the catamaran. The flowing drinks and crisps were also appreciated!

Leuke excursie om te doen. Varen met de catamaran naar Rick's Café. Helaas moesten wij bij Rick's Café net voor de zonsondergang, waar Rick's Café om bekend staat, alweer naar het busje om terug naar het hotel gebracht te worden. Dus helaas geen zonsondergang bij Rick's Café gezien. Dat was wel de reden om naar Rick's Café te gaan.

Katamaran hatte keine Segel, Abholung ist extra früh um ja noch Geld vor Ort für Souvenirs etc auszugeben, in Negril hat es dann noch mehr als eine Stunde gedauert bis es losging. Ricks Cafe konnte wg hoher Wellen leider nicht über See erreicht werden, dafür wurde dann ein Bus eingesetzt. Sicherheit geht klar vor! Leider hatten wir nur einen kurzen schnorchelstop, so daß wir ca 2 Std an Bord waren. Dafür 231 eur bei 3 Personen ist schon viel.Würden wir nicht nochmal buchen!

The catamaran crew were fantastic and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. They put safety at the heart of the experience and the music was great. Only down side was, when returning to the catamaran after visiting Rick's Cafe, it was a little disorganised as they told us to arrive at departure point at a specific time, but then was only allowing people with specific coloured wrist bands on at any one time, which caused a bottle neck of people on the stairs. But overall we enjoyed it.

There was a lot of waiting at seven mile before we boarded the catamaran - we were not aware of this Waiting over two hours The boat was more than just a party boat with alcohol and marijuana flowing more than we would have expected - maybe just naive bit not suitable for kids but he time we came back people were falling about drunk Not enough time at Ricks - had 50 minutes which was rushed and need to choose between jumping or getting a drink and experiencing Rick’s- can’t do both

We clearly stipulated we didn't want to be say on a coach for hours (we could have paid £10 each for a bus trip to Rocks cafe if we did), Rep said we need to do the catamaran trip which would be a 15 min coach journey followed by a catamaran trip to 7 mile beach and Ricks cafe. Over 2 hours in a coach to the then have to walk out in above waist height water with bags held above your head to the catamaran. Trip was moved forward 15 mins due to weather - need more

There was plenty of room on the catermaran for everyone to be able to move about. The snorkeling was fun, but made more difficult wearing the life vest. The DJ on board was good and there was a fun atmosphere. Rick's cafe was a great, we had plenty of time to do some cliff jumping and to enjoy the music and dancing.

Worst tour I have ever been on. Rude very late driver. From the moment we got onto the coach. The music was blasting loud R&B music. The other passengers were shouting at the driver and changing the music. The boat ride was unorganised and what I can only described as a drunken pornographic festival with the loudest R&B music. The drive home was just as bad with blaring music. Could not wait to get back to the hotel. would not recommend unless you like want to be part of an animal party

Didn’t like that we were taken to the beach by coach. Asked to look round a gift shop and then then left with only one option to eat and drink which was not great & expensive, $16 for glass of wine., And told the boat will be two hours. I assumed we would go to the beach by boat. Slightly felt like we had been kidnapped from the resort. Which was free and had a nicer beach. Then the catamaran was larger than expected. could go on but not enough characters in feedback form. Will on tripadvisor

We did not go in this trip On the day at departure time it was raining really heavy with thunder and lightening. We asked if the trip was cancelled and was told by our rep that it could be but we would have to go and possibly go I the sea where the water could be up to our chest and board the catamaran. Then a decision would be made according to the weather at the time. When booking we were told the sea would be waist deep. We decided we couldn't go in the storm. We should get a refund.

Pick up was veel te laat. Wij dachten op een familie tour te komen, maar was een party boat waar het om bier en rum ging, de snacks waren taaie zakjes chips.. We konden niet met boot naar Rick's maar met de bus daardoor ook niet de zonsondergang gezien. Ricks' was zo kort en druk dat je niet eens een drankje kon bestellen.

We chose a bad-weather day. On a good day, you probably enjoy the catamaran on the trip over to Ricks. But on the day we chose it rained whilst waiting for the “cat”. We chose to stay at the bar til they came back from Ricks. They got on the boat wading through the sea. No info about that at all. Then it rained so much, they couldn’t dock at Ricks and they came back in the rain, wading through the sea to get off the boat. So we all drove to Ricks instead. Only God controls the weather.

Driven to a bar, sign waiver, spend money on drinks while waiting for boat, walk in the sea to get on boat. Snorkeling good activity for those that chose to participate but no life jacket given to those remaing on board and free alcohol. The crew created a lively, friendly, atmosphere.Sea rough so offered option of back to hotel or continue by coach. Felt preference was for us all to go back, my group opted to go to Rick's where food was overpriced and no seating available and little time

Pick up and transport where chaotic, transport was dirty and kept breaking down and wasn’t appropriate for the duration of the trip. This was an awesome trip. Snorkelling was amazing. Only negative is didn't get to spend long at Rick's Cafe, was a little rushed. Sunset cruise back was lovely especially the flowing rum and party atmosphere. Chunny , our driver was superb, informative but very funny and friendly.

Need to be told how far you have to walk before you get to the craft its self. And we had to wait an hour before the cruise its self. We left a 24/7 resort to be expected to pay for a drink after the amount we paid in the first place. Staff where fantastic helped me on and while on board. Also helped me get off safely I can only say a very big thank to the team. Was not told it was a party cruise so lots of very drunk young people on board

The staff on the catamaran were very good apart from that the rest of the trip was misleading we were told that the trip would be around 6 hrs long with a stop for snorkelling and then on to Ricks cafe stoping there and then coming back watching the sunset there would be a snack We left the Hotel at 12.40 arriving at Jam west 12.50 we then sat around for nearly 2 hours before we set of the snorkelling was only 15 minutes long the snack on board was a bag of crisps rip of

It was mis -sold to us by the TUI rep. We spent too long on Jamwest beach and had to pay cash for drinks and food. The 'snacks' onboard the catamaran was a single bag of crisps. The boat did not 'return to our hotel at dusk close to the shore so that we could see and take photos of seven mile beach and ********** bay'. It was basically a disco on a catamaran with rum and a little bit of snorkeling. VERY disappointing and cheaper better local offers available.

What we got versus the write up differed greatly. Having to wait over an hour and half for the boat to depart wasn’t necessary. Just a way to get people to spend money at the departure beach. Service poor drinks delayed Food didn’t arrive. Music on vessel too loud didn’t realise this was a party boat . We were rushed at Ricks cafe with only 40 minutes. Could have been a better experience if the timings were changed. The pick up driver and boat crew were lovely. Couldn’t fault them.

Bis wir mit dem Katamaran losgefahren sind, vergingen ca. 2,5 h, es fehlte jegliche Info, wie der weitere Ablauf ist, als wir am Abfahrtpunkt, dem Jam West Beach, ankamen. Leider ging dadurch Zeit fürs Baden und Schnorcheln verloren. Man hatte bloß ca. 20 min hierfür Zeit. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passen überhaupt nicht zusammen.

So it was good but the snorkelling side of it was poor. There was 3 boats in total. We had some children on our boat and because of this we could not stop at the main snorkelling site where the other two boat stopped as the sea was a little choppy. We went somewhere else and saw no fish. I think the guides should have allowed those who want to go in and ask children or those of not strong swimming to stay on board

They took us out on the boat despite it raining most of the time. In my opinion it wasn’t safe. No drinks were served or music playing while people went snorkelling which isn’t right for the people left on the boat. We were sat there just looking at each other with no entertainment. The rum ran out. The speaker kept messing up so there wasn’t music. It wasn’t a party at all and wasn’t an enjoyable experience.

When we arrived at the beach we where not aware of a 2hr wait... the beach is beautiful but you will need to purchase any food or drink. The trip was a little late leaving.. 20min. They pack you on.. so your not guaranteed a seat outside... which did upset some passengers. Rick's bar is packed!!! Great atmosphere.. drinks can be expensive. You have 1 hour there.. divers amazing Fun trip back party atmosphere. Drinks and crisps included. Staff friendly. Great views and sunset

This is a LOUD party boat. The music was ear splitting and the dancing verging on pornographic. This was before the lap dance competition run by the boat crew got going! The drinks are strong!! Ok so not a negative but two of our fellow passengers were so drunk they had to be carried from the boat, one was completely unconscious. Bear in mind they also had to be carried back through waist high water in the dark getting off the boat. The transfer to the Ricks cafe boat is horrific

On our TUI tour (ref MUS10389900 17th Feb) on a Catamaran trip, Seven Mile Beach and Ricks Bar there was no tour guide and the poor driver, Wayne, and us, had to put up with drunken and intimidating behaviour, in the form of swearing and shouting, including criticism of his driving on the return trip. We felt this would have been curtailed with the presence of a tour guide.

The snacks advertised on this trip turned out to be one small bag of crisp. We were all hungry as the trip including travel was 8.5 hours. We assumed you’d get a burger or something as noticed 2 bbqs on board but instead 1 bag of crisp. I would Not recommend to anyone that has mobility issues or children as the transferring from boat to boat to visit ricks cafe was very risky for a led body people. I wouldn’t do this trip again or recommend because of their reasons above

We lived this excursion. Our bus driver Chunny, was the best we have ever had. He was very friendly to everyone and made the bus ride so much fun. I loved seeing a part of Jamaica! The staff in the boat were fabulous, made us feel really safe and got us drinks and snacks while playing excellent music! Our time at Rick’s cafe was really fun and the boat dropping us there and picking us up was fab. The snorkelling in the sea was beautiful but would’ve been nice to snorkel somewhere with more coral and sea life. Our only down side was that the driver of the bus was a bit reckless and scary at times!

The crew were amazing and created a great atmosphere on the catamaran. Ricks Cafe couldn’t be missed and it didn’t disappoint. One thing to suggest is on the TUI e-ticket form that it doesn’t confirm the hotel lobby as the meeting point and clearly state it’s a walk down the beach past building 12!

The trip would have been fantastic on a nice day. There was torrential rain and thunderstorms the whole trip which prevented us from snorkelling and meant that there was no acts on at ricks cafe and no diving allowed. We were drenched, cold, and it ruined the experience for all of us. The information states the trip is weather dependent and it went ahead on the day we booked it, despite it been cancelled for other travellers on days with much better weather.

Stopping off at the Jamwest bar at the start for me personally would have preferred not to. It was a rush for those whom ordered food. They didn't have time to eat their food in the bar. They had to box up and taken the boat. The guys on the boat was awesome. Well looked after us all to have fun and enjoy ourselves. Time at Ricks cafe went quick would of preferred more time spent there, seeing this was for us the main attraction.

We weren't sure what to expect but my word it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we boarded the catamaran the crew were excellent. The first surprise was the snorkeling, thought we'd do this in a bay but no we anchored off in "open water" imagine the connotations that brought to mind. However, it was fantastic, the thoughts of being attacked by sharks ?? soon subsided ( rum helps). Then off to Rick's cafe for the most exciting part of the day- transferring from one vessel to the other ??

This was not advertised as a party boat which is exactly what it was. Very loud music and drunken people. The snack included in the price was a bag of crisps! Not good. Stuck at jam west for 2 hours!, before cruise ? Having to pay dear prices for food and drink. In a nutshell long wait at jamwest not good and party boat even worse when was expecting catamaran cruise!?

Amazing, jamwest beach is beautiful, snorkeling great, Rick's cafe is really.cool, finished with a sunset, with everyone drinking and dancing on the way back it was a great trip.

After getting picked up we arrived at the Jamwest facility. We were there for 2 hours before we got on boat. This is to get money out of you. Boat trip to ricks cafe was terrible as really bad rain we had to turn back and be bussed to Ricks. Should have turned back earlier instead of riding into rain. Ricks cafe itself people begging for money for diving had to wait 30 mins longer than advised to leave as bus driver in ricks cave

Aufenthalt beim Jamwest (Essen/Trinken) viel zu teuer mit noch schlechtem Service. Drei Gerichte für 100 Dollar kamen nach einer Wartezeit von 45 Minuten und plötzlich begann Boarding 30 Minuten früher, so dass man nicht aufessen konnte. Leider abgestorbenes Riff und kaum Fische und daher sehr enttäuschend, wenn man glaubt es wäre schönes Schnorcheln möglich. Ansonsten eine tolle Tour mit Massentourismus an Ricks Café. Bilder gab es diesmal günstiger für drei Stück 10 Dollar.

We had a great time overall! Snorkeling was beautiful And the DJ had the boat very live when we were sailing. Due to the water choppiness we had to take the cruise back to JamWest then ride in a bus to Rick’s.

Snorkeling in the sea with fish coming up to see us!! Safety was always a priority, then back to the boat for a party. Ricks Cafe is really good although the food is expensive - they don't sell the advertised food - they only sell fries with meat meals so as a vegetarian I didn't eat anything. Drinks & packs of crisps are free on the boat. Back on the boat after Ricks & the party really got going. They are not tight with drinks either. This was probably the most fun experience of the lot

We thoroughly enjoyed the day. The crew were fun and really set the vibe. If you are looking for a relaxing leisurely cruise this is not that type of excursion. It is not quite as advertised as it doesn't say anything about a party boat. But if you go with the flow, it is fun all the way. As someone in their 50s if you consider yourself young at heart and are prepared to just go with the flow then this is a full on fun experience.

It was so good, the staff exceptional and kept our drinks flowing ??. The staff looked after those who couldn’t swim when snorkelling and all the time ensured our safety was their number one mission.

I enjoyed everything only wish we had more time at Rick’s cafe. The staff was excellent from helping me (non-swimmer) to snorkel and throwing a great boat party! I would do it again. I highly recommend. The experience was great!

We really enjoyed the party vibe on the catamaran. The crew were friendly and helpful. The beach at Jamwest was beautiful and the snorkelling spot we were taken to was a big highlight for us. Ricks cafe was chaotic and very busy yet my daughter loved jumping into the water from the platforms. The communication could’ve been better when we got off the bus at Jamwest as we had no clue how long we were going to be at the beach before getting on the catamaran.

In Jamaika ist generell alles teurer aber dieser Ausflug hat sich gelohnt. Am Seven Mile Beach ist nicht jeder Abschnitt super attraktiv, bei Jam West ist es jedoch sehr schön. Die Dauer der Fahrt ist auch sehr angenehm, nicht zu lang, nicht zu kurz. Aufenthalt im Rick's Café ist sehr sportlich, sollte man sich vorher überlegen was man dort machen will (von den Klippen springen, einkaufen oder was essen - alles zusammen wird zu knapp weil dort immer viel los ist).

We was told that snacks are provided on the boat, only to find out it was only packets of cheetos. Spent one hour in Rick's cafe, was hungry but by the time burger was served we had ten minutes to eat and return to the boat, shorter time at jam West beach and lo her Rome at Rick's cafe....apart from this, the boat crew were amazing and supportive, I struggled getting on and off the boat and they helped me, also the vibes they created were amazing... Such lovely people.

Was uns nicht gefallen hat ist zwei Stunden Wartezeit auf eine Entfernung von 4 km von unserem Hotel. Das war bewusst viel zu früh mit der Hoffnung das wir da Geld spendierten für Essen und Trinken. Mit unsere All inclusiv Hotel in der Nahe fanden wir das seht unangenehm und Zeitverschwendung. Ich wurde Tui empfehlen dass zu änderen. Weiter war es ein Schöne Ausflug

Die Tour und die Katamaran Crew waren klasse. Die Schnorchel Zeit hätte länger sein können. Der Stop bei Ricks Café sowie der Sonnenuntergang auf See war super. Verbesserungsvorschläge: 2 Stunden Wartezeit zum Onboarding war deutlich zu lange. Durch Abholung 12:10 war kein Mittagessen im All-inclusive Hotel möglich. Angebot für teueres Mittagessen beim Dienstleister und wenig attraktiver Strand haben nicht überzeugt. Dennoch eine schöne Tour

The only blip for us was when the coach dropped us of there was no explanation as to what was happening we were just all stud there in a bar on a beach eventually we spoke to someone who told us the boat wouldn’t be leaving for another 2 hours witch tbh was fine as we got a drink and something to eat and was a lovely beach just some clarity would have been nice otherwise was an amazing trip

Es regnete den ganzen Tag. Wir hatten dennoch Spaß. Der Ein und Ausstieg zum Katamaran sollte über einen Steg erfolgen. Wir waren noch 1 Stunde im Bus unterwegs und völlig nass.

The Jamwest tour to Rick's cafe by Catamaran was really good. The boat was fun with a member of the boat crew going in the water for the snorkelling . Hefound a big starfish . The drinks flowed after the swimming .
