What we expect
Pirate Tim and Calypso the Parrot need your help to find their lost treasure. But first you need to be fully trained in all the skills you need to become a pirate. Eleni, one of our local crew members, says, "Rhodes was once a hugely important trading post in the Mediterranean region, and pirates were a real threat to this success. The island's governors directed the Rhodes Navy to spend all their time policing the waters nearby in order to protect the ships carrying valuable goods such as salt and olive oil."

Sehr nette Crew, Kinder wurden zu Aktivitäten animiert und gut unterhalten. Obst gibt es leider nnur am Ende des Trips. Snacks und Getränke sind aber erschwinglich. Anreise hat bei uns leider 2 Stunden gedauert. Rückreise war wesentlich besser mit 1 Stunde. Im Großen und Ganzen guter Ausflug. Sehr schöne Fahrt entlang der Küste mit supernetter Crew.

This trip does not match the write up at all. It promises a pirate adventure with lots for the kids. They sat my son down gave him a paper to color and walked away. They played the song “messy” which repeats the f word 5 times in the chorus. They played a bomb game that didn’t include my son. The treasure hunt was a 5 minute thing at then end. It was absolutely awful and I would NOT reccomend it to anyone.

Hade önskat mer aktivitet och inlevelse/show för barnen. Det var liksom inget märkvärdigt. Hade också önskat något typ av snacks/dricka för barnen då de behöver fylla på med energi under dagen. Flytväst att erbjuda och att gå igenom vart dessa finns om olyckan är framme.

Das größte Problem ist die extrem lange Fahrt vom Hotel. Hätten wir das nur vorher gewusst! Die Bootsfahrt hat etwa 4 Stunden gedauert und war an sich ganz nett. Aber die Hin- und Rückfahrt haben zusammen auch 4 Stunden gedauert. Das ist einfach zu lang! Ich finde, es sollte darauf hingewiesen werden, wenn man z.B. im Alex Beach ist. Das empfohlene Alter sollte auf 6 Jahre erhöht werden. Die kleineren Kinder konnten mit keinen Spielen was anfangen.

We were excited for our pirate themed boat trip. The pirates took the "little pirates", to a different part of the boat to do activities such as colouring, face paints, paper boat making and treasure hunt. There were 3 half an hour opportunities to swim in the sea (remember your snorkel), we saw plenty of fish and even a baby octopus. The boat offers noodles for children and you can jump in or climb down the steps. Water and watermelon available free, chance to purchase snacks and staff friendly

I took my 9-year-old grandson on this pirate ship adventure, and he had the best time! The whole afternoon was packed with fun and excitement. The crew were super friendly and great with the kids. There were three swim stops, and my grandson especially loved jumping off the boat into the water—he didn’t want to get out! Ik vond de prijs wel duur voor wat het was. Ouders betalen veel geld voor eigenlijk gewoon een boottocht te maken. De kinderen hebben een tekening gemaakt, een spelletje gespeeld, een zoektocht op de boot (waarbij ze met een schatkaart een cadeau kregen). Water was gratis en op het einde kregen we nog watermeloen. Het personeel op de boot was super vriendelijk er werden 3 stops gemaakt waarbij je kon zwemmen.

I thought it was a trip primarily for children to be entertained but it was a great trip for the whole family. The boat was comfortable, there was space for everyone to sit comfortably, the staff were really friendly and the swim spots we were taken to were gorgeous and the water was perfect! It was my son’s birthday and they sang happy birthday with music playing and they gave him a small gift. The staff could not have been nicer

We booked and paid €129 in cash for the pirate cruise so our child could join other kids, as the hotel kids club wasn’t suitable for under-4s. We were at the stated 9:10 pickup time but only later realised the pickup point was different. We got to the correct spot by 9:12, but the bus had already gone or never showed. No warning was given that it would leave immediately. Very disappointing for us and our child. We expect better communication and a refund. Or a rebooking for the next one

It was disappointing to only be offered water and watermelon on the cruise I think given this is aimed at kids a better food options should be given. Also there was no details on transfer time from Hotel that would have been useful. It would also have been better for more kids entertainment ie more singing etc

We were made to get a taxi to another hotel for pick up when our driver drove passed the hotel anyway. It was a 15 minute walk and with a small child it’s a long way. The actual activity was brilliant. The pirates on the ship were absolutely brilliant with the kids especially Captain Kate. My grandaughter had the best time. Coming back our lovely bus driver did drop us off at our hotel when we asked him.

Considering the transfer was over half an hour late! This trip was probably the highlight to our trip. Staff were very welcoming and always ready to have a laugh. Had plenty of time for swim stops and never felt rushed! Also felt very safe considering we had a two year old with us swimming in the sea.

The rep advised us that there would be water on board, expecting this to be bottle water. However it was just a bucket of ice and water with cups. This wasn’t great as you had to scoop out the water yourself, not very hygienic. We did enjoy the entertainment onboard for the children and the reps made sure everyone was involved. My daughter especially enjoyed the face painting and swimming in the sea. Brilliant idea to have plenty of noodles for them to use.

Der Ausflug war insgesamt sehr schön. Allerdings wurde mir erst 2 Tage vorher mitgeteilt, dass der Nachmittagsausflug nicht stattfindet. Das war sehr schade. Ein deutscher Tui Guide wäre auch schön gewesen für die deutschen Kinder.

Hade gärna sett att flytvästar fanns för barnen. Vi fick lite missvisande info inför kring när vi vi skulle vara tillbaka samt hur lång bussresan var (bussturen var kort och tillbaka på hotellet vid 13). Bussresan var över en timma och vi var tillbaka på hotellet efter 14.30. Hade gärna fått rätt information från start så hade vi kunnat planera bättre, mat, påsar för åksjuka, osv. Jättetrevlig och duktig personal!! Framförallt barnen var nöjda! Älskade badstoppen! Lagom tid på båten.

Im Endeffekt nur eine Bootsfahrt mit 3 Schwimmstopps, die sind aber sehr idyllisch. Programm für die Kinder ist anders als ausgeschrieben nur auf Englisch, sodass unser Kind leider nicht so mitmachen konnte.

We enjoyed the boat ride and the swim stops with our 2 year old. The scenery was beautiful and there were life vests and pool noodles available for our little one. We were expecting more engagement from the "pirates" though. They mostly sat at the back in silence, occasionally colouring with the children as and when they wanted.They were pleasant though and we'd recommend the overall trip as we had fun.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, die sich Mühe im Umgang mit den Gästen, speziell mit den Kindern geben. Vielleicht wäre noch während der Tour ein gratis Eis für alle Kinder drin oder ein nettes Piratenspiel, während die Erwachsenen mal die Möglichkeit haben allein ins Meer schwimmen zu gehen.

Als unzumutbar wurde der Transfer empfunden. Wir haben die Fahrt nun zum zweiten Mal gemacht. Jedes Mal wurden wir vom Alex Beach als erstes abgeholt und als letztes abgeliefert. Das bedeutet mehr als eine Stunde Fahrzeit mit zum Teil unnötig Wartezeiten vor andern Hotels da andere Gäste zu spät erscheinen. Warum werden gerade die Hotels mit dem weitesten weg so benachteiligt? Gerade mit kleineren Kindern eine erhebliche Belastung.

Pirate Ryan was absolutely incredible and made this entire trip for us. The kids loved him and he was brilliant with them. The only negatives was the transfer was late collecting us and we felt the boat had too many people on it, it felt quite cramp for the size of boat.

Pros: The rep 'Pirate Sophie' was lovely with the kids and added energy to the experience Cons: Unfortunately we had to wait some time before the boat could leave whilst we waited for a second group to arrive. Some of the kids did get restless during this period but once departed the kids got involved

We did this trip on the Saturday and enjoyed it so much did it again on the Thursday. Whilst it was a good trip still the staff on the Thursday trip were much more engaging with the children and made it more pirate themed through the trip. Sophie on the Thursday trip was lovely and really good with the children. Ryan the male pirate was maybe friends with one family and they got most of his attention. If doing this again then I would go for Saturday.

Staff were fantastic, especially Dan and the other pirate (who's name I sadly didn't get). My biggest issue was the space on the boat, it felt very crowded, especially for the children - considering one of my kids who was supposed to be on the trip didn't go, so down one child, but still not enough room for my other child who did go to get involved in the kids activities. Also not really that suitable for younger kids is how I felt about it to be honest.

Nice afternoon trip. Kids loved the animation. They don't give any information on life jackets when the trip starts. Information from TUI on the estimated travel time and a more accurate duration of the trip would have been handy if you have to make arrangements for the evening and to make preparations for the bustrip to entertain the little kids.

My daughter (aged 9) and I throughly enjoyed the pirate cruise. The three TUI reps, sorry I mean the pirates, all engaged with the children, got them doing activities and were good fun. There were three swim spots with a good 30 minutes in each. We took snorkels and whilst there were not a lot of fish it was just an added bit of fun. The boat was well covered so there was a lot of shade. The treasure the children find they get to keep. It’s a fun, easy going boat trip.

Minder leuk: het tijdstip was een beetje te laat voor kleine kinderen. We waren pas terug in het hotel om 21u. Dat was te laat om nog kort te douchen om te gaan eten (we hadden een all in buffet tem 21:30…) en we waren nog helemaal nat en in badkledij van de uitstap dus konden we zo niet binnen. Ook minder leuk was dat de tui hostess van het hotel Saskia had gezegd dat er NL begeleiding zou zijn aan boord. Er waren enkel ENG en Duitstalige Tui gidsen… de kinderen begrijpen dat niet

De begeleiding was heel leuk. De kinderen werden continue bezig gehouden in alle talen. De busreis (vanaf ixia) was lang. De aangegeven tijd was 2-4 uur, maar we hebben in totaal 3 uur in de bus gezeten, 3 uur gevaren en een half uur op de bus staan wachten na de activiteit.

Echt een heel leuk tripje met (kleine) kinderen. Transfer was wel veel langer dan medewerker van TUI had verteld. Wij hadden de late-afternoon trip. Specifiek aan onze TUI gids gevraagd hoe lang de transfer was ivm recensies die ik had gelezen, die aangaven dat de transfer heel lang was. Transfer zou 20-30 minuten zijn. Maar heenweg was 1,5 uur en terugweg ruim 2 uur. Aan boord alleen chips en koekjes te krijgen. Om 22 uur pas terug, zonder avondeten. Neem dus extra eten mee, dan is het top!

Pick up was 30 min late in 32 degrees heat stood outside with a 3 year old. There were too many passengers on the boat so it was not comfortable and was cramped. The swim stops were great and the boat journey was lovely. Guides were good with kids but focused on the crying kids rather than entertaining ones who were getting involved.

This was sold as a pirate experience but in reality it was an ordinary boat with 3 people dressed up. Kids won a sword in a game but had to give it back at end of excursion leaving them in tears. The coach taking us to the trip was 30 minutes late arriving with no apology just got told times had changed and they forgot to notify us.

The staff were absolutely fantastic - particularly Ryan who went out of his way to make sure that our son was included and enjoyed the experience. The only snag we found is that it was very busy and felt a bit over booked. The boat is quite small and not really a 'pirate ship'. Obviously, it would be very expensive to change ship, but it would be a better overall experience if booking was more limited to avoid the squished in feel we experienced.

Wij zaten in Lalyssos. Hierdoor was de transfertijd 1,5uur. Dit wisten wij niet vantevoren. Dit betekende voor de terugweg dat we pas om 21.30u terug waren en nog niet hadden gegeten. Als we dit hadden geweten, hadden we het niet gedaan met 2 jonge kinderen. Tip: geef bij de beschrijving een aantal transfertijden aan. Kan iemand zelf beslissen wel of niet te gaan. Ook was de boot erg druk, je kon er amper lopen. Verder was de bootreis wel erg leuk. Het springen vanaf de boot is een aanrader.

Far faldt på dækket, da der var glat og brækkede 2 ribben. Ryan (og kollegaen vi ikke husker navnet på ) fortalte levende og inddragende om turen og var hurtige til at ekspedere og informere om, hvordan vi kom afsted. Sophie var super sød til at fortælle undervejs i bussen og god på turen. Vi endte med alle at få diplomer efter turen (Sophie lovede mor diplom, men det blev glemt - her var Ryan og kollega redning efterfølgende dag, hvor vi også fik lavet anmeldelse på de 2 ribben)

What an amazing adventure for us all. Chilled for the adults because Ryan our Tui rep could not of looked after us enough. How he managed to be there for everyone was a sight to see. He made sure all children were included. Checked in on the adults and entertained us all with the help of his colleagues. He definitely made the trip. We did things as a family we had not done before and he gave my girls the confidence with his safety measures to jump in the sea with us which was so special.

Die Entertainer, welche das Kinderprogramm durchgeführt haben waren sehr bemüht, aber leider fehlte die richtige Begeisterung die Kinder wirklich zu motivieren als Piraten ausgebildet zu werden. Das Kinderprogramm ist Optimal für Kinder bis 6 Jahre, das könnte noch in der Ausschreibung ergänzt werden. Unsere Kinder waren leider zu alt dafür, das wussten wir vorher nicht.

Mijn dochter vond het geweldig om met piraten te zwemmen. Ik vond het geweldig om met dat mooie uitzicht te zwemmen. Mijn dochter is net 2 geworden, dus met het zoekspelletje begreep ze het nog niet zo goed. Ik vond het evengoed wel spannend dat ze tussen de railing kon vallen. Gelukkig ging het goed. Als hier een soort van vis net aan zou hangen, zou ik net iets geruster zijn. Maar ik snap dat dat niet altijd en overal haalbaar is. Maar al met al een hele mooie/leuke activiteit

Der Ausflug war für uns Erwachsene sehr schön und wir haben tolle Orte der Insel gesehen, die wunderschön waren. Weiterhin war es ein kleineres Boot und nicht so viele Leute, das fand ich prima. Es sollte nur ausdrücklich durch die Reiseleitung bei Buchung gesagt werden, dass diese Unternehmung nichts für kleine Gäste sind, in meinen Augen erst ab Schulalter (mind. Seepferdchen) die Kleinsten haben sich nicht getraut ins Wasser zu springen obwohl sie sich so gefreut hatten. Sonst top!

Meine Kinder haben die Fahrt wirklich genossen. Das Boot ist super und die Piraten können auf jeden Fall Kinder besaßen. Die Anfahrt war zu lang. Statt 0.5h wurden es 1.5h? Negativ bewerte ich die Sicherheit. Die Schwimmwesten waren kaputt und wurden mit einer Schleife geschlossen. Erste Hilfe Kasten im Bus gab es nicht. Das setzte ich bei einem Ausflug mit Kindern voraus. Die Guides waren nett, stiegen aber einfach aus und ich war 1h alleine mit verletzten Kind im Bus. War nicht so cool.

Der Ausflug mit dem Piratenschiff war toll, sehr zu empfehlen für Kinder. Da nur englisch gesprochen wurde,hat sich ein Papa gefunden, der für die Kinder übersetzt hat. Die Guides haben den Kindern eine ganze Menge geboten, wie Schatzkarte malen, Schatz finden, basteln ein kleines Geschenk und natürlich auch von Bord aus ins Meer springen. Zeitlich sehr gut aufgeteilt.Zwischen Aktivitäten an Bord wurde immer wieder ein Stück gesegelt und geändert. Meine Enkelin und meine Tochter waren begeistert

It was not overcrowded. ‘The Pirates’, one had obvious previous childcare or kids club experience and she interacted with all the kids at some point of the afternoon one on one, as well as group. Another pirate, was a qualified female diver, and shewas always in the sea / water when group were swimming. They did have pool noodles to tie around children, and were never unsupervised. It was not a ********** alcohol party boat, it was definitely kid orientated and super friendly.

It wasn't very pirate like. If this had of been advertised as what it was, a boat trip down the cost with 3 swim stops it would have been better. The crew were dressed as pirates, but that was it. My 12 and 9 year old were after treasure hunting not colouring a pirate hat and being given a tube of bubbles.

There was me, my husband, 12 year old son and 7 year old daughter and all had fun. It was just the right length and swimming stops were great. Noodles were provided for swimming stops (no life jackets or snorkelling gear) which was fine but would of been nice if this was more clear in experience description when making initial booking. Im Prinzip ist es ein Ausflug mit 3 Schwimm-Stops, bei denen Kinder im Mittelpunkt stehen sollen. Die Schwimm stops waren auch super. Kinder, die kein Englisch sprechen, hatten leider wenig von Aktivitäten an Bord . Transferzeit war bei uns 1h/ Strecke. Da war leider vorher nicht transparent. Auch auf aktive Anfrage konnte TUI mir das am Tag vorher nicht sagen. Schade, dass es nicht mehr Alternative Touren extra für Familien gibt und, dass es kein Angebot für deutsch sprechende Kinder gab.

Took a while for my wife to get into the sea as she didn't want to jump from the boat and only two ladders. So people where jumping in and then climbing the ladders. They also start writing down the children's names to do a certificate but when they got to us they said they would come back as we was at are next stop but they never did, we reminded them when we got off the boat but our daughter never received one.

Would highly recommend this trip for any families with children. Our children are 8 and 3 both loved it. TUI reps keep children entertained while parents relax watching the scenery travelling to the 3 swim stops. The water is beautiful. Take some money as snacks and drinks are available to purchase at an extra charge on the boat. We had a good breakfast before hand but children got hungry. Got fruit on the way back included.

What a brilliant day out! Pirate activities included making a pirate hat, a face paint and a treasure hunt. Boat crew and TUI crew were fantastic, kept everyone entertained the whole time. Activities mainly aimed at 3-8 years old, however older children and adults had lots of fun too. There were three swim stops and a jumping off the deck competition for older kids and adults. Plenty of free water to drink and watermelon snacks at the end. Highly recommended ??

Fabulous experience for the whole family. Friendly crew who welcomed you on board and pleasantly engaged with all. We were taken to beautiful dipping spots and jumped from the boat to swim and snorkel (ladder also available). It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. In der Beschreibung über den Ausflug sollte drin stehen, von wo das Piratenschiff ablegt. Steht nicht drin, nur die Dauer des Ausfluges (2-4h) wir sind insgesamt 3h Bus gefahren (1,5h hin + wieder 1,5h zurück) für kinder natürlich sehr langweilig und öde. Wir Erwachsenen können die Umgebung genießen. Die Zeit auf dem Schiff war toll! (Ca. 3h) jedoch sollten Getränke und Snacks entweder frei oder günstiger sein (1 Dose Fanta =2,50€) etc..

Ein toller Ausflug für unseren Sohn. Während der Fahrt wurde mit den Kids gebastelt und bei den Badestopps gingen auch die Piraten in voller Montur mit uns ins Wasser. Ein großer Spaß. Piratin Lizzie sprach Deutsch und hat sich ganz besonders lieb um unseren Sohn gekümmert. Snacks und andere Getränke (außer Wasser und Wassermelone, die waren im Preis inbegriffen) konnten für ein paar Euros gekauft werden, da wäre eine Anmerkung vorher gut gewesen.

The whole set up great. Nicely balanced 3 stops with activities. The duration was about right and boat ride was also not too long so it was great. The bus came 20min late and would have been good to be notified about this earlier.

This is a great trip. Perfect duration of around 3 hours, staff onboard were great with kids and made it extra special. There are 3 swim stops and an opportunity to push the pirate overboard (kids thoroughly enjoyed that part) easy pick up and drop off at the hotel

Great 4 hour boat ride , kept my 6 year old entertained and she loved the swim stops , was a little crowded and not much space but staff were lovely and the scenery was lush.

There was no face painting or tattoos as per all the advertising. The swim stops were all very much the same and there were too many people on board to safely social distance. The treasure hunt was good fun though.

Wonderful facilities, but it was the staff that made the trip excellent ;particularly the lovely lady with the short hair. So friendly and accommodating. She made our trip when she help us get the life jackets ready and helped dry off our little one. Huge thanks

The pirates of Rhodes trip was good fun for the kids.
The rep who was doing activities with the kids was trying really hard to interact with all the children and get them engaged.
We stopped 3 times for a swim but perhaps would have been better to just stop twice for slightly longer.

Gebuchte Veranstaltung auf Deutsch, war dann aber leider doch auf Englisch, daher haben die Kinder nichts verstanden und konnten bei den Piratenthemen so nicht mitmachen. Daher war es ein Bootsausflug mit Schwimmstopps, was für den Preis nicht passend war, da hätte man auch für 3h selbst ein Boot…
