The guide was very good and knowledgeable. However the temple was too crowded to enjoy and walking in the temple and surrounding streets was hazardous and dangerous, my partner tripped and fell on a street obstruction. Also we understood when booking that the evening dinner would be in the The Winter Palace hotel, This turned out to be false and we were taken to a much lower quality hotel for a fairly ordinary meal of much lower standard than we would have had on the cruise boat.

The photo promoting this tour features the Winter Palace that we did not visit, even from the outside. Walk started from our boat to the Luxor Temple which was very busy. We then visited the souk and had a long walk to the Iberotel. Most people on the tour expected the meal to be at the Winter Palace so there was a delay while the guide tried to sort it. The meal was buffet style in a large dining room where the dishes, e.g. goulash, could not be described as Egyptian. A real disappointment!

Both the TUI rep Ahmed and the guide Mohammed were brilliant. They guided us through Luxor with confidence and Mohammed’s knowledge about Luxor Temple was very knowledgeable. A must trip if it’s your first time in Luxor

We started the tour late as the information about the meeting point was not correct. The guide did not meet us at the Winter Palace Hotel lobby as your information says. She was waiting for us in the river boat reception
