Never got to see the turtles i spent over £100 on this experience and just sat waiting on a beach for a turtle that never came

Our female tour guide was not very helpful she didn’t tell us much unless we answered questions, she laid down on the beach and played on her phone rather than speak with us, and she looked bored and said she was cold.. the two other guys who drove the jeep and the bus were lovely we got more out of them even though (U) the driver didn’t speak much English.. glad we saw turtles otherwise I think would of been disappointed.. and I think they should be more informative

Being able to witness the amazing moving experience of the turtle laying & burying her eggs This did not affect us as we didn’t have to wait long until we saw a turtle but it could be clearer on booking that there are no facilities available at all for the duration of the experience

WE HOPED TO SEE TURTLES BUT WERE REALISTIC ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS MIGHT NOT HAPPEN. WHAT WE WEREN'T PREPARED FOR WAS THE LONG DRIVE OVER VERY ROUGH TERRAIN, THEN HAVING TO WALK SINGLE FILE IN PITCH BLACK DARKNESS, NOT ABLE TO SEE WHERE YOU WERE WALKING ON VERY UNEVEN, ROCKY GROUND. THEN TO SIT ON THE SAND IN SILENCE FOR ALMOST 2 HRS WITH NO COMMUNICATION FROM OUR "GUIDE". WHEN THEY FINALLY FOUND A TURTLE, WE WERE ONLY ABLE TO WATCH HER WALK INTO THE SEA, BY A TINY RED BEAM OF LIGHT. POOR

This trip was great, knowledgeable staff and small group. However, we were originally booked on the Tui exclusive tour but they didn't turn up and we didn't receive a cancellation message or apology from the rep after waiting over an hour to be picked up.

Loved seeing the turtle laying eggs but hated the mosquitoes. My wife and I was told by the TUI rep not to wear any deodorant, perfume or anything that smells as turtles have very sensitive noses and any smells will frighten them off and stop them coming out of the sea, however, a family who joined us at the site and the guides all spraying themselves with repellent. We ended up covered in mosquito bites which ruined the rest of our holiday. The rep should have advised us to use repellent.

Zum Punkt Sicherheit ist die Fahrt zu den Schildkröten ein Abenteuer, wenn man nur Busfahrten auf deutschen Straßen gewohnt ist ??

This trip was both surreal and wonderful. The guides take so much care with the turtles and the protection they are provided in Boa Vista is incredible. My husband, 5 year old daughter and I all loved this trip. A once in a lifetime trip.

Het grootste deel van de excursie bestaat uit wachten, houdt hier rekening mee! Wij hadden geen strandlaken of water meegenomen, maar achteraf hadden we daar veel spijt van. Na 2 uur wachten hebben we 1 schildpad gezien. De reisleiding is wel enorm gezellig en weet veel te vertellen over de schildpadden en over eigen ervaringen, erg aangenaam om naar te luisteren.

Veel te grote groep Gidsen hadden meer contact met elkaar dan met de vakantiegangers. In het donker met het licht van een zaklamp naar het strand lopen, was onverantwoord. Met 30 man om een schildpad heen staan idem dito. Schildpad raakte in de stress.

Staff were fantastic.. absolutely made the experience. The drivers were brilliant.. friendly, informative and knowledgeable. As were the turtle experts. Recommend this experience.

Very friendly educated staff for the turtles. As soon as arrived on the beach no longer then 5 mins was watching a turtle laying its eggs .

The excursion was very underwhelming. The picture given by the reps was not realised, the guide repeated limited information and communication about what was happening did not take place.

Er was niet doorgegeven dat je donkere kleding aan moet. Verder is het vrij lang wachten, je ziet maar 1 schildpad voor €70 per persoon. Het is wel bijzonder om de schildpad eieren te zien leggen. We hadden meer verwacht voor dit bedrag per persoon. Dichte schoenen waar zand in mag komen ook aan te raden.
