More time in Chichén Itzá needed and less time at the cenote and Valladolid seemed unnecessary and just a selling exercise.

Average

Pickup at hotel 640am. Travel for 30mins to then a 50min wait 4 bus 2. Stop at "local market" made to look for 25mins at Tat b4 admission to cenotes swim. Swim and lunch short due to enforced shopping.guide lied saying shops cheap and upselling "mayan birth certs" at $35 each. Arrived Chichen Itza at 3.15pm, very good guide included and thus bit good. 2hrs later back on bus to next shop stop. On final leg bus guide directly asking for tips in order to get coochy cooch from his wife. Avoid!

Poor

Absolute farce from start to gid knows when it ends 2 hours spinning around del Carmen not knowing where pick ups where paid for English tour not a single person speaks English on the trip no guide present and to many pick ups the driver asking taxi drivers to where he needs to be and stopping at petrol stations

Poor

The bus took 5 hours due to doing 2 hours of hotel pick ups and no food or water was offered. The guide removed us from the tour group and we therefore missed the lunch. When we stopped for lunch the guide went ahead with the rest of the tour without us. A formal complaint has been lodged.

Great

Guide picked us up from the hotel but then just dropped us off the entrance when coming back, not bothering to go into the hotel and drop us off where they picked us up from. Valladolid we were dropped into a jewelry store just to try to get us to buy more things cenote was good but too short, too much focus again on buying things. Chichen itza was good, guide could’ve provided umbrellas or at least explained the history in a shady spot. Not rushing to recommend it to anyone

Great

Enjoyed the cenote swim (although they did run out of lockers so one of our party didn’t swim so they could look after the bags) and the visit to Chichén Itza was wonderful. Not so much the stop in Valladolid as we had just 25 mins there. It was a long day as we were the first pick-up at 7am and returned to hotel at 9pm so really late dinner. Tour guides were great, very knowledgeable.

Great

Good day and enjoyed it. I would have liked more free time at chichen Itza as the guide spent a lot of time talking. It would have been nice to of been told there were shops that sold the same stuff at Valladolid so we didn’t waste time at previous place. I felt Valladolid was a bit pointless and would have rather spent that time at the ruines. We got picked up at 7am and returned at 10pm so long day (most spent on bus). Lunch and cenote was amazing.

Poor

enjoyed the swimming part although not very well guided on where to go, then the drive to Chichén Itza was long. Also overwhelming with the amount of people trying to get you to buy stuff there. Got back around 9 at night so was a long day, not worth the money and feel forced to tip the drivers and staff as we got a full story on why we should tip them, then saw the guide counting his tips when finally leaving the bus at 9pm!

Too many stalls inside the grounds of Chechen Itza selling the same souvenirs. The tour as a whole the last stop at the town was a waste of time as not enough time to look around & look at shops. Was almost like it was only a stop for the silver shop. The lunch was rushed at Cenote paid for inclusive drinks but only had time for 1 & 1 more would have been nice. Also had to pay for the 1 we had as it wasn’t in the drinks package but no one explained that.

Well worth visiting the Chichen Itza site as it is very interesting and impressive. Our guide was excellent and provided lots of useful information and took good care of us. The site does get crowded and the Mexican authorities have allowed a lot of traders inside which rather spoils the experience. It does get very hot so take a hat. The balance of time spent in this tour is not quite right with a lot of time spent at the cenote and insufficient time at Chichen Itza. Time at Valladolid is short

Fantastic trip and the guide was incredible with his knowledge however you need to update the timings of the trip- advertising it as 8 hours when instead it was 11. We were travelling with an infant and so were not prepared to be out this long and had not packed enough essentials for her.

Overall a fantastic trip BUT as others have said, the final stop at Valladolid feels unnecessary. You get half an hour there, ostensibly to go to the bathroom and see the church, but in reality the moment you get off the bus you're accosted by the staff of the silver factory (the meeting place) who try to coerce you into spending money. The cenote stop was lovely and we really enjoyed the swim (could have been longer) chichen itza was spectacular. Final stop soured things though.

The time spent there was good. The guide was very informative and clearly passionate about what they did. However it also felt like an opportunity to ask us to buy things from locals and this was repeated throughput the experience so it felt a bit like pressure selling at times.

Great

Felt a bit misleading on the vallidod part we only got 30 mins there but 2 hrs at the cave they maybe could consider that a bit more balanced. Guides excellent we had bad weather so it did put a dampener on it. The coach was a bit cold when then sat wet for 3 hrs. But very safe good food good guides

Food was awful at buffet had obviously been sat there for hours. Very annoying that some people were consistently late back for the departures from sites half an hour was the worst. Same 3 families !! Coach very comfortable driver and guide outstanding Cenote - wow, chichen itza just spellbinding Valladolid - nice but obviously just a ploy to get you spend money in the tour companies friends shops on the way home. The actual sites though an incredible experience

This is the third time I have done this trip with TUI (Oct 2022, July 2023 and July 2024) and it was the best. The cenote was amazing, the lunch was delicious, the Chichen Itza tour was very informative and I learned things I hadn’t been told on my previous 2 visits. I also appreciated the short stop in Valladolid on the way home.

Lovely day, itinerary spaced out. Trip was 14 hours long from being picked up at hotel to being dropped off at the end of the day, would have been better if we knew the length of the day in advance to organise our other days better

The Hubiku Cenote was gorgeous it was a great experience to swim in the cool water, the food was okay but was not great, Chichen Itza was the star of the trip and didn’t let us down, it was Awesome, just a shame we didn’t have more time. Valadolid seemed like a pointless trip just 30 minutes set down at a tequila and silverware tourist sales trap - a visit to the main town would have been better. The premium ticket that we paid for was no different to the Standard ticket so it was a rip off

Overall I feel the price was too high for what we had. The time scales are all wrong it says 8 hour day. Which is actually a 14 hour day, you get 2 hours to swim eat and drink at the Cenot all before 1pm, 1 hour 45 mins in Chichen Itza and 40 mins in the Mian village. The rest of the time you are on a coach there were no traffic jams or anything like that. We got back at 9:45pm. No refreshments or snaks are offered after the Cenot. Staff I can't fault.

Great

We set out at 7am and didn’t arrive back until 10pm. The first two parts of trip were good, the stop over in Valendoid was unnecessary, we were there for 30 mins, we could part at first and then the bus was 20 mins late coming back. Complete waste of time and as a result we ended up back really late.

A great day but too long. The conote was very special, good lunch and the main event was phenomenal with a great guide. Our only criticism was we were picked up at 07:10 and spend the first 2 hours picking up other guests from other hotels before the tour started. This was too long and unnecessary

It exceeded our expectations because it is no clear at all from the booking page that a visit to a Mayan village and cenote with possibility of swimming is included. It would be certainly added value for the price together with Chichen Itza site and Valladolid (plus informative so that one could take a change of clothes).

I enjoyed our guide as he was very funny and knowledgable, he also kept us all safe. I didn’t like so much that we laid for premier which was meant to include breakfast, drinks on the bus and an umbrella, however we didn’t receive any of these so I would have been better off paying for the standard tickets so I’m a bit disappointed I wasted my extra money there

Great

My only issue, is the day was too long. We were the first pick up @ 07.15am and the last drop off at 21.15pm so 14 hours in total. Also maybe there could have some water or snacks available on the bus and maybe a toilet stop each way. The guide was excellent and very informative.

A great day, improved by two very good guides. Augustin (the coach guide) kept the time on the road informed and entertained, and Diego at Chichen Itza brought the experience to life. Swimming in the cenote was a great start, and Chichen Itza was special
