Você gosta de praias? Fuerteventura tem 150 km de praias de areia maravilhosas e águas cristalinas. Basta escolher o tipo de praia de sua preferência: pequena e intimista, vasta e ampla, calma ou com ondas. As praias de Jandia, talvez as mais famosas, tem água morna turquesa e 10 km de areia.

Certamente a Reserva Natural de Jandia e a Reserva Natural de Corralejo são locais de diversão para todos os tipos de viajantes. As dunas de Corralejo são as maiores de todo o arquipélago das Canárias e abrigam diversas espécies de animais e plantas que você não verá em nenhum outro lugar. Para apreciar uma bela vista da área, caminhe até o Pico de la Zarza, o ponto mais alto de Fuerteventura, que fica 807 m, ou simplesmente jogue uma partida no lindo Jandia Golf Course.

A Ilha de Lobos é outra joia natural por conta da vida selvagem e dos esportes aquáticos. Com máscara e snorkel, você pode nadar entre garoupas, donzelas, peixes-lagartos, peixes-papagaios, polvos, cavalos-marinhos e possivelmente até mesmo entre arraias ou tubarões-anjo. Ninguém vive na ilha desde que o faroleiro partiu, na década de 1960, mas eventualmente você pode encontrar algumas focas-monges no local.

A comida em Fuerteventura é ótima. As cabras majorera, em particular, são conhecidas pelos excelentes queijos feitos de seu leite. No entanto, o local também proporciona a oportunidade de saborear conservas e mel deliciosos. Quer adicionar um pouco de tempero ao seu dia? Las Salinas del Carmen e o Museu do Sal revelam o quão importante esta indústria foi na história de Fuerteventura.
