What to expect

After having your breakfast, enjoy Hurghada's fascinating morning and be ready to kick off on a true adventure with the Big Red – a sand buggy that is suitable also for families with kids.The bus will pick you up from your hotel lobby and take you to the Big Red Center. After a short practice session to get used to the vehicle, you'll be taken on a guided adventure across the desert. There are plenty of open plains where you can open the throttle and you'll also relish negotiating the dunes, valleys and canyons.You'll have plenty of time to stop and take photographs. The activity is thirsty work, so during the trip, you'll stop off for a complimentary Egyptian tea at an authentic Bedouin Tent and get to know the culture of the desert.

Er leuke trip. Met de buggies de woestijn in. Halverwege konden we nog even kameel rijden, wat niet in de omschrijving stond, maar erg leuk was. Raad deze trip zeker aan.

The experience was great. The guide spoke very good English. However they wanted money for goggle hire, photos and a copy of the video. We expected to pay some money but they wanted money for everything.

The buggy rides itself was exactly as I had hoped. It was really enjoyable and would recommend this excursion to everyone. The only thing that I didn’t like is the constant begging for tips. After doing the camel ride the woman asked for a tip. I gave her £5 to share with another lady that helped my sister. When she asked for another tip for her friend I said no and she scowled at me and was really rude. The whole village bit after/inbetween buggies is awful and fake

Het was een leuke ervaring waar je toch een tijdje mee zoet bent. Je ziet mooie dingen. Een van de reisleiders een wat oudere man. Vond ik erg bijdehand, maar dat is meer omdat hij alles vlot door wilde laten lopen.

Die Fahrt mit dem Sandbuggy selbst war super. Was uns u.a. nicht gefallen hat war das Beduinen Dorf. Überall wird man natürlich aufgefordert immer etwas Geld freiwillig zu spenden. Zu guter Letzt fand noch ein Verkauf statt mit Gewürzen, Badezusätzen, Kettchen, Armbänder, etc. Wichtig ist, wer diese Fahrt macht, bitte ordentlich was zum Trinken mitnehmen. Die Hitze ist enorm. Bei Bedarf kann ein Tuch für 4€ gekauft werden. Bei Bedarf Leihgebühr Schutzbrille 3€, Video der Fahrt kostet 22€.

Die Idee der Tour ist an Sich sehr gut. Gefahren wird je Strecke 45 Minuten durch die Wüste. Das macht Spaß…wenn man ein funktionierendes Auto hätte. Der Motor ist bei uns bei einer Strecke mindestens 20 mal aus gegangen, immer wieder mussten wir neu starten. Da kommt keine Fahrfreude auf. Die hintere Tür konnte nicht geschlossen werden, der Mechanismus war kaputt. Also musste unsere 4-jährige!!!! Tochter mit geöffneter Tür fahren, die immer wieder Auf und Zu viel - was einem kleinen Kind Angst macht. Die Betreuer haben das gesehen und als sie merkten, dass die Tür kaputt ist, einfach ignoriert. Am Ziel angekommen - einem künstlich für Touristen geschaffenen Ort (nichts mit Beduinendorf) durfte man 4 Minuten Kamel Reiten. Alles einfach nur ein Witz. Dafür gab es wieder mehrere gierige Hände, die für dieses einmalige Erlebnis Geld haben wollten. Weiter ging die Kaffeefahrt mit dem Verkaufsprogramm. Angeboten wurden Medizin und Schmuck. Dann noch schnell ein Brot für alle 20 Teilnehmer geteilt und das war’s dann. Zurück ging es dann wieder mit dem Schrottauto. Lohnt sich also auf keinen Fall, es sei denn, man möchte gern durch die Wüste fahren. Der Rest des Programms ist nur aufs Verkaufen angelegt. In der hoch beschworenen App von TUI haben wir unsere Erfahrung über die Tour ebenfalls kundgetan und um eine Teilerstattung gebeten. Denn für ein Schrottauto mit Verkaufsveranstaltung haben wir nicht bezahlt. Leider hat man es nicht für nötig gehalten uns zu antworten. Wirklich schade liebe TUI!!!

De gids was een super lieve man die alles uitlegde en liet zien. Hij sprak goed Engels en Duits. De gids die voor ons reed hield ook goed in de gaten of iedereen bij bleef. Op de website wordt een Safari tour aangeboden van 6 uur lang en deze was maar 2,5 uur en met de heen- en terugreis erbij maar 3 uur.
