Laat deze avond het strand achter je en trek de bergen in naar het bergdorp Zia. Door zijn hoge ligging in de pijnbossen op de berg Dikaios heb je de mooiste uitzichten op de noordkust van het eiland en over de Egeïsche Zee tot Turkije. Dus zijn de zonsondergangen hier weergaloos.Als je er bent afgezet, heb je ruim de tijd om rond te kuieren en het landschap te bewonderen. Ga met je camera op zoek naar het beste plekje om op tijd te zijn als de zon achter de bergen verdwijnt. En als je er toch bent: scoor de mooiste souvenirs bij de kraampjes zoals kanten tafelkleden, olijfolie of honing van eigen makelij.Neem ook even een kijkje binnen in de Byzantijnse kerk. Als de avond valt, kies je een van Zia's restaurants uit om te gaan eten. Bij sommige kun je op het dak zitten en nog verder genieten van het uitzicht, en van al die sterren die boven je tevoorschijn komen.

Had a lovely trip to Zia. Had 3 hours there in the evening. We made a reservation for dinner on a roof top restaurant as read about how busy it is. The meal was lovely. They have some beautiful shops to look around and brought a few treats. The view from the mountains was stunning. Overall a lovely experience.

Lovely evening to Zia to eat dinner and watch the sunset. We pre booked dinner and got a roof top table to eat and watch the sunset- it gets busy so pre booking even midweek was great. TUI reps in the hotel very helpful for dinner recommendations. Enough time to walk around the town after to watch the sunset. Was told a time to be back at where the coach drops off but multiple other coaches pull up too- check coach number before leaving coach

Coach driver was pleasant and gave clear instructions. Zia is beautiful and lovely to visit the shops and dine in one of the restaurants. The only thing I would have liked was to have a little longer,maybe another hour, as there wasn't much time.

The driver, Dimitri, was friendly, funny and very efficient. Zia was wonderful and the restaurant we booked ourselves was the highlight of our holiday. Although this was travel only, we had time to enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner. I would highly recommend so thank you

Loved how easy the transport was to catch. Lovely village, just like a scene from Mamma Mia. We loved watching the sunset from the restaurant. Only issue was we were last to be dropped off so the journey took and an hour and half back to the hotel.

The view of the sun setting was spectacular and definitely a fantastic memory of the island. There is a certain vantage point to get the best view but traffic still needs to get by, albeit the number of vehicles is few. There is a small number of gift shops which had plenty of variety. Some of the restaurants offering a view were fully booked so maybe details of them in advance to (consider) booking a table could be useful. The restaurant we used was very good value.

Lovely trip to Zia, coach driver picked up at stated time and made everyone very clear of the time he would be picking us up for the return trip, our bus number and where to find him making it all a very smooth operation. Zia is a lovely village in the mountains full of lovely souvenir shops and restaurants. We rebooked a meal with a view at magic mountain which was reccomended by our TUI rep and it was lovely. Very glad we did prebook as it was very busy but would highly recommend this trip.

Zia was as beautiful as I had read and heard about, the sunset was truly stunning. Being the first and last pickup, which someone has to be, made it a really long journey that wasn't what I wanted. Had I realised I would've probably done a private tour but it didn't spoil the experience. Booking a table is a must either before you arrive or on arrival if you want to watch the sunset over dinner otherwise you can stand at the wall where the view is just as great.

Zia has fantastic scenery/views out to the coast and an amazing addition to our Kos holiday. Last pick up on bus and first to get off which was great but did split the family of 5 up on bus as bus was full. Again, messed up on telling us the right bus number before we got off in Zia. Going back, different bus, told last second so last to get on but not too bad as we were first off as picked up and drop off in Tigaki. I booked restaurant on arrival for 7pm, Olympic 2. Amazing views up there.

Zia was beautiful and 3 hours was plenty of time to explore, eat some lovely food and watch the sunset. Transfer was rubbish. Picked up 20 minutes late from a bus stop with no shade. When we arrived a few people including ourselves asked the driver what to do at pickup he just pointed at the time 9pm. We guessed he was picking us from the same stop but there was two buses worth of people no one knew what bus was there’s and the driver just rolled his eyes and shouted at everyone

The most amazing experience in Kos. The little village of Zia is completely Greek in it's entirety! It's stunning, the shop keepers are friendly but shop around. And you really can't describe how beautiful the sunset is. Please go! Only thing again is the transfer time in the hot bus, went private on a couple of other trips and small air conditioned taxis were much more comfortable. Still Amazing though!

Zia itself was beautiful. The restaurant we ate in was lovely - Olympia 2. Would definitely recommend eating there. However our coach journey there and back was in an old coach with the air conditioning barely working, which made for a very very uncomfortable journey, especially the one to Zia

I'd recommend this trip, good value for money, lovely place although very commercial... Restaurants are lovely.. We went to Olympia 2 for our dinner and it was lovely and wonderful view but book ahead if you set your heart in a view, it was very busy! . Coach driver was excellent, friendly and helpful

It was well worth the €15 to go to this beautiful little town in the mountains. Watching the sun go down with a glass of wine was truly spectacular. Just wear sensible shoes as the street is cobbled and a little uneven in places. There’s nothing me and my friend didn’t like about this trip.

Zia is by far the prettiest place on the island, and the sunset is stunning too. Plenty of places to eat and drink and a really pretty little village - would highly recommend. We went back a few days later by car and visited the small natural park and had lunch

Should just say it’s basically a transfer there could have been some guide information on the coach journey. Additionally you should recommend guests to phone and reserve a table for the evening meal as everywhere was reservation only and we had to wait an hour and half for a table leaving only 30 mins to eat before transfer home which was disappointing. We met a couple who went with someone local on the island who only paid 10 euro and was advised to reserve a table for evening meal.

When the bus turned up the air conditioning unit was broken and the driver told us it wouldn't be fixed until next day the temperature was in high 30s to me the bus should not have been in use. When we told the rep the next day she just apologised and walked off . It totally ruined our experience and a special day on our honeymoon we both where soaking with sweat as where all the other passengers not good service on TUI's behalf .

Short, low-key excursion where we were left to our own devices. Highly enjoyable. A Tui rep might have been useful( to point us in the right direction) but, frankly, we had a great time and found a perfect taverna for watching the sunset.

Beautiful views, lovely little restaurants and shops. you don't need more than 3 hours. my only advice would be book a table somewhere if you want to see the sunset with supper for around 7.30/7.45 as the sun went down about 8.30 (June) we didn't book but still got in at one of the most popular restaurants and got seated with a view. It also wasn't overly busy either I was expecting it to be heaving but it was pleasent and a lovely experience.

We had a fabulous evening Zia is a beautiful place all the tavernas and shops are lovely and the people very friendly. We pre booked a table at the Olympia 2 had a fantastic view of the sunset . Would definitely recommend a visit here .

The Olympia 2 Tavern we were dropped at was incredible. Best place to view sunset. Recommend making a reservation for the best seats to view. Cannot recommend more and great value for money too.

Unfortunately it rained, so there no sunset, which is no fault of TUI. The transfer from our hotel took over an hour due to all the other pick ups at the other hotels, I think this needs to be included in the description to allow people to factor this into their decision whether to undertake the excursion. Bus driver was good, safe driving and explained when and where to be picked up from.

We were picked up and dropped off by the bus as arranged, and taken to the beautiful town of Zia. We were able to spend time looking around the lovely shops and enjoying a drink and meal at our leisure watching the sunset. Time wise, 3 hours is plenty. There were a few other buses so a lot if people in a small area for a short time but we'll organised and a nice evening out.

We loved our trip to Zia had a drink in The Water Mill just up the hill beautiful views lovely people I would say a must if you visit Zia . Pre booked our evening meal Olimpus 2 good food and not expensive fabulous sunset views . I would definitely recomend the trip the village has a lovely feel wish we were there for longer .

The trip is simply a transfer to Zia to watch the sunset. It is definitely worth doing. The amount of time allocated in Zia was just right. The only negative is the number of drop offs on the return journey, but this can’t be helped.

We were told the excursion would be cancelled if we wouldn’t get to see the sunset. It rained all day and the sky was full of clouds…the trip went ahead and no sunset was seen. Then Lars, the rep, denied saying it would be cancelled if the weather was bad

Easy to book, all information supplied. Pick up on time and driver had names to check. Village of Zia is beautiful, with National Park to explore. Plenty of restaurants and tourist shops. Overall we had a lovely time

The trip to, Zia by night, was very enjoyable. It is lovely because, some of the shops are affordable, and sell gift like items, I managed to find 3 mens gifts here- bracelets, of which there were a good selection, fo r around 12 euros, upwards. Depending on your budget. We also ate out here, on one of the rooftop terrace restaurants, with the absolutely stunning views. Some of the gifts shops are more market like, cheaper brands, copies, which isn't up my street but little gems make it.

Fun and convenient bus trip that picked up outside the hotel. Zia was a really cute village with lots of little shops, cafes and rooftop bars. You could easily sit and have a drink before sunset or spend more time exploring and walking up the hill

This was by far the most beautiful experience. Zia is such a beautiful village and the food was nothing short of amazing. Though we did not have a guide, we were given a few hours to roam around though, I felt that this was slightly too long. If you’re looking for tranquil settings with good food and good shops then I would highly recommend!

Definitely worth a visit, lovely little village and spectacular sunset views. Downside long transfer as pick ups from lots of hotels. Time there was a little too long once you seen all the shops and eaten we where just hanging around.

Fantastic service from the arrival of the coach to the return journey. A thoroughly enjoyed evening. Cannot recommend enough you book a table way in advance at the best restaurant to see the sunset & views - the Taverna Sun-Set Balcony restaurant.

The transport to Zia was well organised with pickup Point and time and bus number sent in advance. Zia is beautiful and we had a great meal watching the sunset. The only improvement I would suggest to Tui would be to pick up for return later as we didn’t have long enough to look around, an extra hour would have been perfect. 9pm was early to return

The most perfect trip! The location is amazing to watch the sunset and the village of Zia is beautiful. The timings for the trip were brilliant, enough time to eat a gorgeous meal whilst watching the sunset, wander round the little gift shops and a cheeky drink!

I like the amount of time we had in Zia, it was perfect…but for me personally (and this won’t be everyone) I was a bit scared driving up those mountain roads with a big drop on the sides…but I do understand there’s no other way to get there ??????? Zia is a truly stunning village ??

Zia is a lovely, once you get there. The coach made a lot of stops en route. Make sure you book a restaurant with a sunset view in advance. There are lots of shops with local produce, plus the usual tourist tat though!

Lovely area to visit, especially if you go off the beaten track a little and find a nice restaurant tucked away. Really great view as the sun set. Good transfer, the bus ride was smooth and driver was helpful in giving information on the pick up time, location and bus number.
